I googled this article and found a thread on the Labour party’s subreddit (that’s a thing, apparently visible-disgust )

Here are some TERF island libs libbing out

Also there were multiple posters pissing their pants trousers about the possibility of THE SPETSNAZ sneaking in and sabotaging the UK’s precious warplanes

I fucking hate people who think beliefs are interchangeable, that you happen to have some beliefs and other people have different ones but they’re all equivalent.

I hate how ineffective these redditors are at arguing against the “Iran is bad too” line. Oh, so Iran supports Russia? And Russia is bad? I guess if I want to be fair, if I’m sabotaging British planes that help Israel I must also sabotage British planes that help Iran. Because Iran is bad.

Ok, done. All British planes and intelligence agents and politicians that were supporting Iran have been dealt with. Now we just have to take care of the pro-Israeli ones, which I’m sure you’ll join me for because you were just interested in fairness.

Well that’s what’s pissing me off! If you are pro-Ukraine so you don’t want your country to support Russia, then you already won! You don’t have anything else to do (I mean, go ahead and sign up to fight with Reddit mercenaries for Azov if you really want) but otherwise, it’s a waste of everyone’s time.

british reddit is fucking horrendous these days, obviously always has been to some extent but now it’s full of the most disgusting middle-aged reactionary liberals. /r/unitedkingdom used to actually be pretty left wing (relative to how it is now).

Americans may not realise this but our libs are still obsessed with Russiagate shit

Yvette Cooper is preparing a written statement before Parliament on Monday - which if passed will make becoming a member of the group illegal.

As far as i understand it, Palestine Action does not have “membership” in the traditional sense. What will this practically mean?

In practice it will mean that the state can punish those it deems to be Palestine Action members for associating with eachother.

as far as i know, it works like the ALF - you do a thing and then declare it to be a Palestine Action… action
works real well, can’t round up a group that doesn’t exist

    • Many Palestine Actionists have gotten weak or no sentences as their targets usually dont show up in court and the actionists defend their actions as legal and moral in the face of the illegal and immoral actions lf genocide. Some judges sympathise with that rhetoric and so do juries.

Now, they won’t be able to do that because judges and juries will not be making decisions on their actions, but on their affiliation to a proscribed organisation. TLDR just makes actions more risky and organising will be heavily suppressed.

I would’ve thought they were ALREADY “banned”, by which I mean I thought they weren’t actually a legal organization to begin with, I hope this doesn’t mean the government knows who the members are.

Anyway it’ll be interesting to see if these types of actions continue now that the state will more actively be seeking to attack them, but maybe that was happening already?

    • With PA not having an official membership or leadership, what is stopping them from shutting down and renaming themselves? And maybe some organisational changes so actionists can avoid claims of affiliation in court.

They’re so fucking embarrassed that their RAF base was undefended lmaooooo.

But also in case we see criticism from the left on their escalation putting the whole org at risk; there has been considerable momentum against PA’s legal status for a while now, it was inevitable that such a move was coming from the govt.

EDIT: also if you ARE gonna be affiliated with PA and do shit, you now have little to no reason to limit your actions to petty vandalism; next time an actionist gets near one of those planes they’ll have no reason not to decomission it permanently

Branding them as “terrorists” over a “disgraceful … act of vandalism.” 🤨
