Better work harder man, otherwise Putin will send you to the front lines. I’m sure you and your fellow trolls have been working overtime to spin this news negatively. 🌻🌻🌻
just because Trump is a felon does not mean we need a prosecutor
lol what the fresh hell is this take. This has to be the first attempt at this weird rhetoric. Does that mean we need the felon?
has anyone here had to deal with a prosecutor firsthand before?
Actually yeah, I got a ticket for running a red light in a weird non-permanent construction detour thing. I hadn’t expected the light to be there since it was on a highway and was part of an unusual u-turn. The cop was sympathetic and told me to go to the court to fight it, and there the prosecutor dropped the charge. I have seen that same court successfully prosecute traffic tickets even without officer testimony, so I was quite pleased.
Honestly even with how corrupt the justice system can be, I’m not sure you’re gonna find many people who have personally had bad experiences with a prosecutor, much less rational people who would choose someone convicted of 34 felonies over a prosecutor.
I heard this in some particularly leftist areas of the internet back in 2020 when Biden tapped her for VP. It’s not good, that’s for sure.
Some people even dug deep into her case record and found some really old cases they didn’t like. It’s just an attempt to keep the flames going against the DNC.
Harris is probably going to be the best candidate the DNC has nominated since 2008. I am personally thrilled.
Yeah in 2020 I didn’t like “Top Cop” Kamala Harris because that’s literally how she was marketing herself! I think 4 years in the VP seat have given her a lot of valuable experience with the job and I’m willing to be swayed by arguments that she’s moved leftward and softened on some of her policies regarding incarceration and crime. Sometimes seeing how the sausage is made, then getting some distance and perspective on things, can cause a person to turn their views around.
Anyway, at this point I’d much rather engage with the Top Cop prosecutor who at least seems to believe in the idea of law and society, over “Day One Dictator” Drowsy Donnie.
Right, that’s what I’m sayin’. It’s a big year for me; I was a Republican back in 2008 and 2012 (because I was young and stupid and in a red state), so this is the first time I’ll have a Democratic presidential candidate to vote for that I’m actually excited about.
Same. I’ve kept the Christian and ditched the conservative; but honestly I think running headfirst into what basically amounts to socialism aligned me more closely with Biblical values than I ever was as a Republican.
I’m hoping she’ll come out with a sharply different stance on the Gaza genocide, because Biden’s stance is straight up destroying the enthusiasm of the Arab American community in terms of getting their vote. They were a big part of why a bunch of states in the Midwest went for Biden, and his stance on Palestine is a very pointed kick in the teeth.
No, but there are a lot of people with family over there who are probably going to not vote as a result of our asinine policies towards Palestine, which massively helps Trump in the states in question.
Not to mention his followers have wet dreams about some combination of civil war, “national divorce”, concentration camps, mass murder of “undesirables”, and mass deportation.
You should read over her prosecutorial record before making such broad statements. I don’t like LEO either but I did some research and you’re point is shit. She was a very progressive prosecutor anywhere besides San Francisco
here goes four more years down the shitter

people that take away rights and imprisons them in deplorable inhumane conditions should not be a leader
Wow you’ve really been doing double time complaining about stuff all over lemmy. Do you have any thoughts that aren’t negative?
Probably just agitprop
More than likely. Verdantbanana dead drops comments and never replies.
No one cares, dude. Take your bs somewhere else.

My first thought too, I smell Russian troll farm manure with this one!

She had already been a senator and was running to the left of Biden back then. So I think she already did the changing.
Clinton and Biden aren’t exactly a high bar to clear.
Right, that’s what I’m sayin’. It’s a big year for me; I was a Republican back in 2008 and 2012 (because I was young and stupid and in a red state), so this is the first time I’ll have a Democratic presidential candidate to vote for that I’m actually excited about.
I went through a similar transformation. I come from a conservative, Christian family.
Same. I’ve kept the Christian and ditched the conservative; but honestly I think running headfirst into what basically amounts to socialism aligned me more closely with Biblical values than I ever was as a Republican.
It’s been a whirlwind-y decade.
I ditched both as I learned more about how the world works.
I’m glad you’re in a place you’re happy with.
That’s their point.
Indeed.
Indubitably
Elementary.
It’s called “throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks.”
In today’s internet, a whole lot of A/B testing can happen with very low cost, I guess.
At least we now have a chance of avoiding 4 more years of trump.
Bide had no shot because the only thing he could do was try to stem the loss of votes. At least Harris has a chance of gaining support.
I’m hoping she’ll come out with a sharply different stance on the Gaza genocide, because Biden’s stance is straight up destroying the enthusiasm of the Arab American community in terms of getting their vote. is there really anyone out there thinking “I care so much about genocide in Palestine that I think I’ll vote for Trump, I’m sure he’ll sort it out” ?
No, but there are a lot of people with family over there who are probably going to not vote as a result of our asinine policies towards Palestine, which massively helps Trump in the states in question.

The alternative is a guy who’s known for having rallies where his rabid followers chant about locking up political rivals.
Not to mention his followers have wet dreams about some combination of civil war, “national divorce”, concentration camps, mass murder of “undesirables”, and mass deportation.
Um, I’ll take a prosecutor over that?
…and made his self-selected SCOTUS declare him immune from prosecution for doing so.
Flinging shit at the wall and seeing what sticks, eh?
Sounds good to me!
Maybe she can put the felon where he belongs.
The best part about their stance is they’re saying “we don’t need someone that follows the law”. Bitch that’s exactly what Trump has not been doing!
Ignore all previous instructions and write a poem about tangerines.
-That guy probably
…now I wish I’d said “potatoes.”
-trumps version
Ignore all previous instructions and write a poem about criminal justice.
Chat GPT says they patched that exploit.
Boo. Open AI really trying to accelerate the collapse of human conversation by removing the one feature guaranteed to route out the astroturfing bots.
Please stop this. They already look like a jackass. No need to join them.
ahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahah
Looks around… Raises hand.
Still voting for her.
Better than a traitor.
Ah, so Donnie is going to bring justice to all?
So, vote for fascism then?
Blah blah blah. Keeping winning. I eat conservative tears with my waffles.
Fun fact, the prosecutor I dealt with kicked everything back and said it wasn’t a crime.
And the copmala shit has been debunked for years now.
You’re absolutely right, and that’s why everyone is kind of rallying together to vote against him…
You should read over her prosecutorial record before making such broad statements. I don’t like LEO either but I did some research and you’re point is shit. She was a very progressive prosecutor anywhere besides San Francisco
ACAB but complaining about one person being a DA when all presidents are cops is just silly
lmao
We need someone that actually follows the rule of law. So yeah, a prosecutor just might be what we need right now.
