EDIT: so I looked it up. They made it intentionally hard so you couldn’t finish it on a rental and would be more likely to buy the cartridge.

Yeah - if you take a look at YouTube, full playthroughs are ~30 minutes long. Speedruns have it at 13 minutes. There are 10 stages.
