For context: This happened in a German speaking country.

Friend of mine thought it would be cool to have Bladesaw as a gamer tag, but he was a kid and his English wasn’t great, so he spelled “saw” with German phonetics: “Bladesau”.

Until he was at some gaming event where he entered some competition and was called up to the stage as “Blade Sau” (Fat pig).

I have a similar story where I thought Hades would be a nice edgy name. But everyone with a mic pronounced it Heyds. So I later changed it to Hadies and for some reason that worked

Fake: there is no way anon needed to wrap x’s around that tag

gay: the possibility two people beat anon to that tag

Maybe not, some immature kids think anything with X in it looks cool. Just look at Musk renaming twitter.

It used to be “the thing” in early 2000’s or around there.

Sudden flashback to Pepsi X as well.

They’re definitely not there just he taught the simpler form was taken. Simplicity and minimal design is not what was in vogue in the noughties.

These young’uns don’t get it, amirite

As a child, I loved the x files. I wanted a cool name for AOL. Thought I was clever picking the character Deep Throat, I was so cool. Didn’t realize till later what it also meant.

My friend had an AOL name ending in “420”. My mother asked me about this person. I had no idea why she was so curious about his birthday.

Years ago I was reviewing resumes with my boss. He handed me one and asked for my input.

The email address ended in 420. I told my boss that either they and Hitler had something in common or they probably won’t pass a drug test. My boss asked for an explanation and I pointed out the email to him. He just took the resume and binned it.

So yeah, don’t put 420 in your email even if you share a birthday with Hitler.

I think the context makes it clear I was going for “this guy is interested in little boys which is gay”, not “gay people are interested in little boys”

Yeah but there’s a subset of people who are both slightly humourless and who don’t know not to affirm the consequent who are going to be super offended.

Paedos can be exclusively interested in little girls, you know. They can even be women themselves if you can imagine such a thing.

The Predator series would have been better if it was Dutch with a new crew being hunted by a different alien Big-game Hunter every time. Like he becomes infamous for taking out the first guy so they all want a go at him for clout. Then they could have different gimmicks like a guy with dogs, or an urbane alien who chats you up and uses poison.
