        I can speak for myself why I love being trans!

        Everyday, I wake up and I get to be a woman! I get to relate in a different way to the women in my life. I get a pretty unique body. I like how estrogen makes me feel. I like crying when I see something happy or sad. I like girl clothes! I like when people use the right pronouns with me. I like when people use the name I got to choose for myself (cis people could pick their own names but seem sadly resigned to whatever their parents picked). I get a special almost psychic style relationship with other trans people.

        My trans ancestors used to drink pregnant mare’s piss to get a shadow of what I get.

        There are parts that are hard, but none of it is inherent to being trans itself - that’s mostly about joy. The hardest parts for me was when I wasn’t ready to take HRT or socially transition and only my ex and brother knew I was a girl.

        Because it’s been a journey, not without difficulty, that I’ve gotten so much out of and connected me to a community I like so much. If I got a chance to pick everything again, I’d choose trans girl again. It’s been incredibly fulfilling
