What I mean by that is that I see many posts by transfems about how they feel “eepy” and it feels to a point where they would hibernate if they could. Why so many memes about feeling sleepy are posted?
Unfortunately you may struggle to get an answer to this since we are all sleeping :(
I will mount defense them!
Cause I’m super depressed and if I’m asleep I don’t exist temporarily
Please remember to spare some time to take care of yourself, as you are pretty special to this world.
I could kill myself tomorrow and it would probably take roughly a month for anyone to figure it out. Probably the first thing to be noticed is I wouldn’t pay rent. That or a neighbor would complain about the smell lol. The sad truth is there’s not really any cause for anyone to miss my presence quickly. After a couple weeks some people on discord my be like “we haven’t seen pixeltree around in a while” but that’s pretty much it. The world would barely notice I’m gone. I’m not adding anything to it and I’m certainly not getting anything out of existing so why keep going?
🫂 now more than ever your connecting to people, your being visible, matters. Yes, you. To add to other replies, yes you are indeed loved, you are enough, and you have so much uniquely to offer your communities.
Please try and remember that comparsion is the theif of joy; your specific life experience is valuable. It’s far from easy, but it is so worth it, and powerful, to set an example for others who might be closeted or feeling they wont be accepted.
Yes, some people would notice it. Yes, some people would even miss you. You are important. You matter. Your presence is unique and special to this world, and without it, it would feel more empty. Don’t be so hard on yourself, spare some time to take care of yourself, I know times are difficult, but I know you have the strength to get throught it. Please, love yourself.
I don’t really know a good way to put this, but I hope you stick around.
life is exhausting and im just a small creature
You okay?
It’s only my speculation, but transitioning has been called a puberty 2, your body is going through a lot, and that takes energy. Only now we’re not teenagers in grade school, we have jobs, responsibilities, and less energy so it’s draining. Not to mention the way society treats us is pretty taxing too, so we must eep
I’m not trans or anything, but I have experienced something like puberty 2.0 all the same. Not at all fun.
Being on long-term hormonal birth control of the shot, implant, or IUD variety (the ones that halt menstrual cycles) starting from late teen years, and then coming off it some 15 years later (which I did because I got sterilized)… does something similar.
It was horrible, and probably not even to the same degree as trans women deal with. Pizza face, sore breasts, mood swings galore, lethargy, you name it. The mood swings and lethargy were so bad I went back on long term hormones and will stay on them at least until I hit menopause. Then we’ll see.
Mental health issues have a tendency to do that. Despair, sadness, and numbness I find are very tiring. I might be much better than I was, but a lifetime of repressed feelings doesn’t just disappear, and I still have to worry about transphobia and what my government might do to me.
I was also constantly tired before transition, so I don’t think it’s transition that did it, probably just being trans in this society did it.
ADHD also makes people tired all the time.
How so? I suspect I have ADHD for other reasons so I’d like to know.
It’s one of many symptoms but in general ADHD causes more mental exhaustion because of the lower dopamine. It means it takes more effort in general to focus and accomplish tasks in average and we also start with lower levels of mental energy than a neurotypical person.
It also doesn’t help that ADHD makes it harder to sleep, generally causes delayed sleep phase pushing back circadian rythem before you even get to revenge bedtime procrastination, and causes less restful sleep.
Besides the jokes, one of the physiological reasons is HRT. Persons on HRT are going through a second puberty which is quite a strain for the body. FtM people on HRT have the advantage that higher levels of testosterone can counter fatigue. MtF people on HRT on the other hand will have a much lower level of testosterone than before HRT, while also feeling the physical strain of their second puberty.
I see.
