That doesn’t mean “however they want,” it just means “I don’t know.” You not having access to the basis for what the best answers are does not mean we should endorse the idea that there’s no better or worse approach.

He’s not “citing” Dugin based on Dugin being credible, he is “citing” Dugin based on Dugin being a fascist menace. He’s wrong (Dugin is a fascist, but not some central influence), but the line that you’ve copy/pasted in like four different places doesn’t make sense.
Comparing China to Russia is silly, and comparing China to America is disqualifyingly ridiculous
I don’t think this guy actually reads Dugin as much as he is fed quotes from BlueAnon people, but it’s actually a good thing to be familiar with the content of Mein Kampf because it destroys countless liberal myths about Germans having the Holocaust be kept secret from them, about the Soviets believing Hitler was their ally, that the future western Allies weren’t tolerant of such things, and so on. Hitler really does lay out all the most important aspects of what the Nazis would go on to do, and people around the world read his book and unquestionably saw it coming, which is a very simple proof that certain liberal readings of history around these issues are completely false. Likewise, I think that if Dugin was really that important to Russia, it is a perfectly reasonable thing to be as familiar with his work because it would help you understand the Russian state and the reactions of various other parties. The main issue is that he isn’t that important.
Remember, you can’t defeat fascists at scale by being ignorant of them.
This guy is a dumb lib dweeb, but what he’s saying is that “Dugninism” is the guiding philosophy of the RF and beloved by people like Putin. So he’s not citing Mein Kampf on Mein Kampf’s authority, he’s pointing to people liking Mein Kampf and then explaining their actions in terms of what Mein Kampf says.
The critical difference being that Dugin’s influence is wildly overstated and he’s just sort of a cartoon villain for liberals to invent conspiracies about because he says a lot more wild stuff than Putin. Obviously Dugin is evil and has a political faction, but he’s not some national puppetmaster.
This person is a horrible reactionary, but this one point is at least mostly correct. A lot of dumb hogs thought Trump was serious about stopping wars and avoiding new ones, so of course they oppose the bombing even if they think all Persians are evil
Even when they lose the election, they still cling to the dogma that they are unquestionably more “electable”.
Sorry for jumping to conclusions. Thanks for being more charitable than I was
Saying violent homophobia is just the fault of closeted homosexuals and not heterosexuals is a grievous insult to many more gay people than to straights while denying the substantial guilt of many straight people
I know bait when I see it, but there’s one point that I’ve complained about a few times already (and in fairness to HB, was met with no reprisal on): https://hexbear.net/comment/6251976
As I explained to death in those comments, I support the DPRK over Occupied Korea and the West, I support its nuclear program and other military investments, and most of what an American would say about the DPRK is a lie, but the DPRK is not remotely Marxist, it can hardly be said to even be socialist (as they deny the need for private ownership to end), and I can go on with criticisms but you can get the idea. Basically everyone on Hexbear either redwashes the DPRK or stays silent, though some might tacitly believe what I said and just focus on the anti-imperialist struggle element, which is valid but does not detract from my claim.
I agree, but there are wars where America is not a significant participant.
Even if we’re taking a slightly goofy approach like this, it might be better to direct hostility to people who are foreign-educated rather than merely knowing English, which in some countries is most people.
You’re just giving up on the idea of there being a correct answer, at complete odds with dialectical materialism
“Aggression” is doing a lot of work there because people always call the other side the aggressor, even when the other side is just acting in its own defense, in which case communists should probably support that side.
Mao argued basically the same thing, and that’s the whole point of “New Democracy” besides the issue of development of relations of production, since China still had heavy feudal elements. That was why Mao supported a temporary alliance with the “patriotic bourgeoisie” against colonial forces, but he was quite clear that you can’t let that circumstance become cemented.
You’re make a false dichotomy to justify your own complacency in doing what you find to be cathartic rather than what is actually beneficial.
Ah, the hand in the pocket was blocked by Musk just enough that I missed it
You are suggesting that the Holocaust was the cause of WWII. That is not the case. Likewise, if the Nazis only targeted German Jews, disabled, etc., Churchill and friends would have wagged their finger but continued supporting them.
How does DiCaprio have an image to protect? He’s a creep and that’s been synonymous with his name for several years now.
