The person dressed in a giant poppy costume who was jumping side to side and waving their arms at me as I entered the supermarket was pretty funny and made me smile, so I’ll have more of that type of poppy mania please.
Some people get weirdly militant about wearing them and decorating with them in Facebook posts, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone behave like that on person.
5 or 6 depending on where you draw the line. I had a couple of part time/fixed term jobs as a teenager, then when I dropped out of university I got a job at McDonald’s.
Since then I left to work in a factory at an engineering company and I have worked for that company ever since, but I got on an apprenticeship scheme for 5 years and became an engineer.
I have heard that neurodivergent people can switch jobs a lot, however this is probably because most jobs aren’t great at supporting us. I am lucky to work somewhere that I feel supported, and it is easy for me to stay where I am.

Because you haven’t adjusted it right?
Psychologists don’t just refuse to work with neurodivergent people, if they did that would be a lot of patients. There is a lot more context to this statement that you haven’t shared.
The UK has building societies which sound like what you’re describing
“The result means a clause will be added to the constitution defining EU accession as a goal, though the country’s potential admission to the European bloc is still many years away.”
I’d never signed a credit or debit card in my life until I travelled to the US last year, and then I only did it because I’d heard stories of places confiscating cards if they weren’t signed. Don’t know how true they are now but I wasn’t risking it.
All I know is that when I order locusts and get a stowaway cricket with them is that it drives me mad in the evening when it starts chirping
They only really chirp in the evening or at night
It’s called Bovril
If the council maintained the road markings like they are supposed to then companies meeting their obligations to repaint markings would never make the news. It only gets picked up on when the original marking is basically non existent anyway.
Full time where I work is 37 hours a week with a 5 hour Friday. I’ve asked for a 4 day week by splitting those 5 hours over the other 4 days but have been refused. This seems to be about giving workers the right to request this arrangement, it shouldn’t force anyone to do it if they are happier sticking with their current 5 day week.
It only takes one person to fuck it up. I agree it’s stupid, but introducing a conflicting standard increases the chances of someone fucking it up in the name of progressiveness. Needless to say I killed off the main branch that someone one had tried to make to replace the master branch.
It’s all good and well until you start working in a repo that has both master and main branches for some reason, and it is not clear which is actually the master/main branch.
This sort of thing works for me, I think the key is instead of trying to quiet your mind, if you instead keep it busy with something mundane or relaxing until it just switches off. Sometimes I pick numbers and do multiplication in my head, and eventually I’m close enough to falling asleep that I forget the two numbers I’m multiplying and at that point I stop and fall asleep within minutes.
What is the alternative? Piracy?
Poorer people are not sending their children to private school
It’s Earl Grey, named after Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey. I don’t think a colour can be an Earl.
