Summary

Donald Trump has begun tempering his campaign promises, admitting challenges in delivering on pledges to lower grocery prices, resolve the Ukraine war, and implement tariffs without raising consumer costs.

In interviews, Trump acknowledged the complexity of reversing price hikes and ending international conflicts, sparking criticism from Democrats who accuse him of preemptively breaking promises.

Trump allies argue he’s transitioning from campaign rhetoric to governing realities.

His past struggles to fulfill 2016 pledges, such as repealing Obamacare or building a Mexico-funded border wall, underscore the difficulty of enacting sweeping promises.

Promising shit that anyone with 60+ IQ could tell was absolute fucking nonsense hardly qualifies as a plan, but holy shit did it work.

True defeat was the popular vote. I really didn’t realize how bad things are until the orange felon got majority of voters to select him after every single fucking metric that should matter to average American was down after his first term and he delivered on basically none of his promises.

One Trump ally argued the president-elect was not contradicting his promises on the trail, but he rather was shifting away from the sales pitch rhetoric that is typical of campaigns.

They’ve distorted reality to the point where lying like a used car salesman is not really lying. This is happening before our very eyes.

Nowadays, lying to sell a product is completely normal and acceptable: it’s called “marketing”. You expect people to differentiate between one type of marketing and another?

Remember KAC actually saying “alternative facts”? She actually used that phrase in a sentence while wearing a shit-eating grin.

      Pepperidge Farm remembers.

It’s not News, it’s Sames. It’s easy to confuse the 2 because they usually contain similar content–esp when dealing with Herr Trump

The only two actual priorities for Trump are

    1. Making money/Being important to feed his narcissism
    2. Not going to jail

He literally doesn’t give a fuck about anything else.

      1. Or maybe a corollary to 1. Getting revenge on anyone that agent orange thinks wronged him. The guy is such a snowflake with such delicate skin. He’s probably still bleating about Rosie O’Donnell for whatever reason…

Trump allies argue he’s transitioning from campaign rhetoric to governing realities.

“No, you don’t get it. Now that he’s done campaigning he doesn’t have to lie anymore, so he’s just telling the truth instead.”

He can’t follow through? I am shocked. Shocked! If only we had some historical precedent for this like him promising to build a wall on a previous presidential term and then halfassing a fence.

He will however fulfil everyone’s expectations of using his position to make money for himself. And half the country dreams of doing that, so they voted for him.
