The most prolific move is that Matt Reeves’ The Batman sequel is heading from Oct. 2, 2026…

    That’s not what prolific means!
I honestly wonder how people who write for a living make these mistakes.

The Batman sequel is heading from Oct. 2, 2026 to Oct. 1, 2027.

What the hell is taking them so long? A 5 year gap between sequels is ridiculous.

I’m ok with that. 5 years is long enough that it becomes completely new. I don’t want marvel fatigue to ruin this new Batman.

If it stays as good as the first, all will be forgiven.

It is longer than normal, but not far outside the norm. Most Batman film sequels are 3-4 years apart, so 5 is long, but just a bit longer.

Plus we got a fantastic Penguin show this year set in the same universe, so it feels more alive.

Part of it is certainly the current DC studio timeline. This is a separate batman from James Gunn’s, so it’s likely placed around other DC titles.
