The video is going around Twitter and it’s really bad, they intentionally hit a car while laughing and taunting the driver they hit, then they intentionally hit and kill a cyclist.

You see, I blame the schools for this. Teachers aren’t providing kids with the tools to succeed in life. Every school in America should be REQUIRED to teach kids if you want to kill a man legally, you need to pass the academy exam and get your badge first. Fuck, come on people, this is basic stuff

(big /s in case anyone cared)

This is the most painful “you had me in the first half” I’ve seen in a while.

In America all you need is your own car/rental and no evidence of intentional homicide and you can run over all the bicyclists you want. I’m a 20yr biking commuter and most car/bike accidents go unpunished.

Let’s hope this help showing how the lack of bike lanes kill people. Cyclists have the right to move as much as people driving and deserve the same quality of service and investing as private vehicles (cars), and public transit.

    And trains too.

This wasn’t an accidental hit an run. They aimed the car at the cyclist. A bicycle lane wouldn’t have been a factor in this case.

Of course it would help, a physical separation between the two would made it harder to the driver to hit the cyclists. A bike lane that is just a line of paint on the road wouldn’t, but paint is not infrastructure.

In the Netherlands (we know about bike lanes!).A bike lane is often not seperated from cars with any physical barriers in urban area’s. When someone intentionally wants to hit you with their car there is little to stop them.

And every person who wants this would complain that they can’t get an uber or any deliveries, and now it’s winter and you can’t cycle. And you have injuries that prevent you from cycling? Fuck you, enjoy your cycling Utopia. You have a kid and two jobs and cycling is not possible for you? Fuck you, enjoy your cycling Utopia.

There is already a city like this. I don’t recall the name, but the only real motorized vehicles they allow are ambulances.

in my town the city center is closed to cars starting from 11:00, deliveries come by bikes, bikes have trailers that can transport a lot of things. It’s not an issue, just that you have to think in different ways

Can’t get an Uber or any deliveries

Ever heard of public transport and delivery bikes?

Now it’s winter and you can’t cycle

          Skill issue

          Injuries preventing bicycling

Ah yes, let’s force them to buy a car instead or walk for 3 hours to the nearest grocery store

You have a kid and two jobs?

Won’t need two jobs if you aren’t paying thousands a year on a car

Four out of five Americans in the private sector are employed in the service sector. So the cargo that pays the most bills is the one with four limbs, two of which can be used to operate the pedals on a bicycle.
