Texas successfully secedes from the union then immediately has another civil war and fractures into 14 competing microstates run by oil and gas tycoons.

I really wanna survive long enough to see the US go through Balkanization, not because I think it would be a good thing and I would probably end up getting merked by some 19 year old dipshit wearing American flag crocs, but because it would be really funny in a fucked up kind of way.

It certainly would be one of the most deserved things in human history so far. It may not be kosher for me to say it, and the probable human tragedy is a concern in some degree (though all of it, and the circumstances leading up to it, are wholly self-inflicted as well), but it’s true

If Texas no longer has the protection of the US military the cartel owns the state in 2 weeks.

It would be a place with no functional government and the cartel could get their stuff directly into 4 states with Colorado and Kansas being 30 empty miles away.

Texas would just be the battleground for the war between America and rhe cartel.

If the US shattered and balkanized there are entire hemispheres of humanity that would benefit. It would be a good thing.

How can you STILL, at this point believe the Biden and his Democrat cohort will do anything, let alone something of such a magnitude, against the far right? How can anyone be so gullible?

Texas set up razor wire on the border. Feds want to cut some of it. Texas sued the Feds to ban them from cutting the razor wire and the Supreme Court narrowly overturned the ban that Texas sought. The Feds are being told they can take down Texas’ wire but Texas can replace them, only to be taken down again by the Feds. A lot of boba liberals are acting like the Texas Governor is standing against the Supreme Court but all the Supreme Court said was that the Feds aren’t banned from cutting wire (so long as the wire itself can be considered an obstruction? unclear because the entire decision is two fucking sentences).

In my opinion, this is little more than yet another crack in the legitimacy but a lot of people are reading this as a powder keg waiting to explode if Biden doesn’t handle this carefully, potentially leading to a secession crisis (which admittedly, would be great).

      In short -

I think his about Texas using their national guard to stop federal border control from managing it and the supreme court ruled Texas couldn’t do it but they said too bad and put themselves on a confrontation footing.

      Run on sentence explanation!

If she’s going to go that far, why not go the whole mile, and have those 25 governors charged with lèse-majesté, and sentenced to death by stoning, beheading or quartering? So close to greatness (well not really, she manages to be an utter bootlicker at the same time, and this would be a unmitigated disaster), yet so far…
