UPDATE It has been 2 hours. There is still mixed reporting. According to Reuters, Qatar said Iran had agreed to the ceasefire. The ceasefire has not been confirmed or denied by Iran or Israel. Iran and Israel are still both attacking. Trump’s post said that the ceasefire must begin within 6 hours, that would be midnight eastern time.
In my own personal judgement, I can not definitively say whether the ceasefire is real or fake.

Fars News reports that “The ceasefire proposal put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump is completely false and was floated to distract public attention from the recent humiliation suffered by the United States following attacks on its bases in the region.” Fars News Agency is managed by the IRGC, therefore I consider it to be reliable on reporting decisions of the Iranian government.

Iran Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi says that there is no ceasefire agreement. “As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations. However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.”

Looking that way, the symbolic attack on Qatari US military base today, shows that neither Iran nor USA wants a direct confrontation at this time. Israel will take it because their Air Defence is almost useless. With this timeout, Israel will rebuild, free of charge from Uncle Sam. Iran needs to clean house, way too many moles and spies. They also have to deal with the liberal reformists that wants to normalize relation with the West. It’s obvious the US-West only wants regime change in Iran. They can go the DPRK way and build the Nuke, allowing no UN inspectors to enter Iran, again they will have to deal with the numerous spies. This will isolate Iran, because neither Russia or China wants Iran to have nukes. If Iran is skillfuls with their diplomacy, this isolation should be temporary, because Iran still plays an important geo strategic role for Russia and China.
How come you think neither Russia nor China want Iran to have nukes?

I wouldn’t want them to have nukes if I were Russia/China because they seem to flip-flop and try to still flirt with the west. I wouldn’t feel confident that Liberal reformists just sell out to the west and suddenly the nukes are on the other side
