Exactly, the only actual criticism of Putin in Russia is that he’s being too soft with the west. If Putin is somehow ousted from power, then it would almost certainly be by somebody far more hardline like Medvedev. The whole notion of regime change as a path towards defeating Russia is fundamentally rooted in lack of basic understanding of the political situation in Russia.
