“Sign up for free access to this post”

If you’re farming my email address then it’s a transaction. All emails have an explicit monetary value. You’re not giving anything away for free apart from the teaser text at the top. I wish sites like this would quit gaslighting people about the meaning of “free”.

The more people realise that currency isn’t the only possible form of payment, the better. Time, physical and mental energy are three of the most common things people trade, above money.

I tried to check the definition of ‘currency’ with Oxford English, but they require an account and subscription before being a dictionary. I would use Collins, but it’s riddled with adverts (empty squares and “We don’t like ads either. Pay us and we’ll make them go away”) and that’s above my budget. Cambridge is still useful, thank fuck.

I thought that was a surprisingly interesting and nuanced read. Also, Cyberpunk 2077 could have actually been way more sexploitative if it would be true to its setting. Especially stuff like ads, which I found overall rather tame all things considered.

    Also:

Hung, who works largely on sex games

    nominative determinism strikes again!

The fact that we can’t get cyberware for our junk was quite disappointing when I first played the game.

“Sex is a huge part of life, and it feels strange when art ignores that.”

I hate that every big book has a sex scene. I think it just doesn’t fit with the overall feel of them. And now games are going that way.

But getting more sex coverage on news media is good, I like that.

I think there is a significant difference between sex being part of life and cramming it into every piece of media.

I don’t want to see shitty sex scenes in movies, books, games, etc. They’re almost always awful and shallow.

“… and she added that it was pretty good, but she wishes he’d have spent a bit more time warming her up first. Back to the studio.”

“Wow. Excellent report, Kelly. Fascinating sex life Jill and Bob have. More at 11.”

Way to discredit the cameraman filming Geralt and Yennefer going at it. He risked his life to get that footage.
