Eeeh, lots of Norwegians volunteered in the Hirden, or local chapters of the SS and went to fight on the East front.

The holocaust collaborators in the police force kept their positions and some of them kept working through the 60s or 70s.

Lots of Jewish people and communist sympathizers were killed or enslaved. For example, lots of roads that are still used today were built by slaves from the death camps.

And if anyone’s wondering why the norwegian Jewish death tolls were relatively small, it’s because Norway didn’t have a lot of Jewish people in the first place, as Jewish people had been forbidden to live in Norway since the 1800s.

Norway is a bloodsoaked imperialist country and a bootlicking vassal of the American empire.

It is the sixth largest producer of weapons for the imperialist powers and is guilty of participating in the monstrous bombings of middle Eastern civilians in the service of Yankee interests.

Do not give us credit. We are bastards like everyone else.

It’s barely a social democracy. The Labour party sold out the country to NATO and Norway has had mostly right wing parties in charge for over a decade.

Social services are being cut and privatised like it was going out of style and the energy corporations are currently destroying indigenous Sami lands to build dubious wind mill projects.

From what I understand, the energy companies take the path of least resistance, which means that they also plow through indigenous lands “over there”, when they feel there’s a greater chance of getting away with it “over there” compared to local indigenous lands.

Seriously, I haven’t met a single Norwegian who knew about Pilmaiken before I mentioned it to thon! I myself wasn’t aware of Pilmaiken until I got a message about it from a friend from Occupied Palestine, who themself heard it from an indigenous Tumblr blog based in the United Occupation Zones of America!

Yeah I was just now looking for photos of Norwegian soldiers, and found a decent number of photos of Norwegian SS volunteers instead…

Dang, and here I had lived under the impression that the Nordic countries were relatively less awful places for Jews compared to the rest of Europe. One of the things I remember reading about the two synagogues in Finland was that they were able to be built in prominent locations whereas in other countries they were often hidden out of view.

Then again, neither of them is very old and Finland’s small Jewish community mostly moved here during the time it was part of the Russian empire as traders and merchants which is similar to how Finland’s small Tatar Muslim population also arrived.
