Okay, so this is probably a stupid question, I use Pop!_OS & the current emacs version is Emacs-27 So, If I had to install the latest one (Emacs-29.1 or even Emacs-30.0.93) what does one have to do, compile it manually ?
Or is there another way ?

you might have to set a different
--prefixduring the./configurestage if you don’t want to install it as root, but other than that, i think this is it. please read theINSTALLfile and also the output of./configure --help
