And we all know how the job market is right now
No. Join a party wherever you can, as long as they are communists or have large-ish socialist caucuses on them. Connect with communists even if they are not your type for the sake of making connections and seeing the status of the movement for yourself.
Join them and see for yourself
only praxis western maoists are able to achieve
Best method for studying is writing little tests for yourself and trying to recall your lectures just like you would do in university/school. Obviously this isn’t always possible due to time, so the best method I found for studying is writing down notes on a special theory notebook while I read, highlighting sections and uploading quotes to bookwyrm.
There was a method I learned when I studied History which I haven’t tried with theory yet, using reading cards in which you write a synthetic version of the main arguments of a book or section you want to study.
I’ve been reading Lukacs recently and philosophy not being my strongsuit I’ve found that listening to lectures or video essays that deal with the subject are great for strengthening what i’ve already read trough.
If its any comfort, the alternative boards to /siberia/ and /leftypol/ are usually not that shit. Otherwise I agree leftypol is unbearable at times.
Yea, I don’t really like recommending massive books no matter how readable they are, but I don’t think a subject matter as massive as the 1917 revolution or the civil war can be consumed that lightly. And as far as I know most Youtube documentaries or essays are not that good.
i like your choices. I’d love to see how Bordiga reads in italian tho
Good, comrade. Greetings from the new Communist Party of Argentina, we’ve also been expelled from our parent organization and are working towards the reconstruction of the party along revolutionary lines. Tell me, what was the nature of the split? I haven’t had the time to read the articles on Em Defensa do Comunismo
Late answer, I know - but Ten Years that Shook the World is a great outlook on the period, even if it’s from a non-marxist perspective. Otherwise I’d check out Mike Duncan’s coverage of the revolution on his podcast, altough he takes a very liberal turn at the end.
Way I see it, there’s no chance for a revolution in Greece unless the TKP brings forth a favourable political climate in Turkey. And that’s only if the rest of NATO is not willing to intervene. For now, comrades in Greece are stuck in the decades where nothing happens - but they are doing wonderful work. I wholeheartedly support them.
Badempanada lives in Argentina, right? His content seems pretty mid all things considered even for streamer’s standards.
The PSUV literally wants to either outright prohibit or coopt the PCV. Can’t believe people here are defending the PSUV. https://youtu.be/BMpyyxo6gMA
rest in hell, traitor
