@ellane @obsidianmd @drafts At least in my few weeks experience with Obsidian sync, it gets grumpy if any note is open when the app first opens. The sync process will try to combine versions, but it doesn’t always do so elegantly.
I haven’t lost any content yet, but I have had the content of notes duplicated, and even entire notes duplicated into additional copies.
So I suspect you’d be setting yourself up for similar frustration if you used a Drafts action—at least if the text you added went into an already-existing note instead of an entirely new one.
@scottjenson@social.coop When I first joined the Fediverse, there was a site called Trunk (maybe “Trunks”?) where one could sign up to be listed under a certain descriptor. For instance, if one went looking for “Librarians”, I was listed there.
I’m not sure if it still is maintained, and it’s also not as elegant or user-generated as those “Starter Packs.”
To its credit, Trunk did seem to ensure that people listed on it were consenting to be; the big critique I’ve seen of BlueSky’s current “Starter Packs” is that one can be listed on many of them with no clear indication other than an increase in followers or engagement, and with no clear way to opt out.
