Whelp, never heard of that movie before, but that clip has convinced me that I have to watch it now. Thanks!

My girlfriend prefers her water room temp, and as someone who loves ice cold water, it’s so weird to me. So I think I’m gonna start thinking of this as her lukewarm take.

When no one has saved a snapshot yet, it asks me if I want to, and I tell it yes, and then it creates a snapshot, and I can see the site. Is that what you mean, when you say it fails? That you have to say yes to it making a snapshot?
I’ve had really good results with using archive.is - Just throw that in front of a link with a forward slash and you’re good to go.
Like archive.is/https://example.com/Never had an issue yet. There was one time where a page looked a bit weird on my phone, and I couldn’t see the very last paragraph of the article. But enabling desktop mode in my browser fixed it.
riot@fedia.ioto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Why do so many people seem confused about what appeals to male gays? Do they not know how sexual orientation works?3·9 days agoI actually find it interesting that you chose that specific image to make your point about inflated lips, because comparing the lips on the first image with the ones that follow, only solidifies my belief in that being due to weight loss, lighting and makeup. I can definitely recommend people look at YouTube videos of what can be done with makeup and proper lighting! It’s really wild how much it can make lips look a lot bigger, and for people who don’t know a lot about makeup, it can be quite the eye-opener. I’ve included 4 videos that show off some techniques for it.
riot@fedia.ioto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Why do so many people seem confused about what appeals to male gays? Do they not know how sexual orientation works?5·10 days agoApparently the actor playing Starlight, Erin Moriarty, has an autoimmune disease, which made her lose a lot of weight. When I look at pictures of her before and after, and also how she looks now, a couple of years after the plastic surgery allegations, I can definitely believe that it’s weight loss, lighting and makeup that accounts for people’s reaction to some of the photos she posted, and not plastic surgery.
Allow me to introduce myself ;)
I quit smoking 9 years ago, because it was getting too expensive. Which definitely made it harder for me to quit, because I didn’t stop because I wanted to. Back then prices for the brand I bought were “only” at 4.69 euro / 5.48 usd, but I knew it was only going to get worse from there. Now they’re at 8.04 eur / 9.40 usd, and I’m so happy I quit, but even more so because of my health, which I didn’t care about back then.
EDIT: Just checked, and it was actually 9 years ago, not 8.

This is what I imagine Zootopia fanfiction is like.

It makes sense to me, because I could see myself applying that kind of logic. Makes the 30ish min. rule make more sense.

riot@fedia.ioto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•[SOLVED] What things should I do if I spilled a small amount of scalding water from a kettle on my arm?10·23 days agoI’ve read that thing about running water before, and I’ve always wondered - is it really expected that you run the tap for 30 min.? I know it’s for the good of the skin, and super important, but I always struggle with running the tap for that long.

You’d need some scuba gear, probably.
Start talking about our types in women (im a jeep, im sorry)
I’m guessing the “jeep” is slang for lesbian? I’m familiar with the U-Haul and Subaru tropes, but I’ve never heard anyone call themselves a jeep before, and my search efforts are falling me. Can anyone explain it?
riot@fedia.ioto Cocktails, the libationary art!@lemmy.world•Whatchu Drinking this weekend, Lemmy?2·1 month agoWhen there was planning and forethought going into the White Russian, we used to use cream. But it quickly became such a preferred drink, that we didn’t always have cream at the ready, and it became a bit too fattening in the long run. So we started just using milk, because that’s what we always had around anyway. But then I stopped buying milk, and changed it out for oat and soy, so that’s what we’ve used since then, and now I’ve really developed a taste for the vanilla soy White Russian.
For me personally, there’s no doubt that a White Russian with cream is the best. But it’s more of a special treat, nowadays.
Or in my case today, they asked before I’d even tasted the food, lmao.
riot@fedia.ioto Cocktails, the libationary art!@lemmy.world•Whatchu Drinking this weekend, Lemmy?2·1 month agoI want to make a White Russian tonight. But along with the vodka and Kahlúa, I want to add some Baileys. I usually use vanilla soy, instead of milk, because I like the taste and texture.
I started adding Baileys during the cold, dark winter months, which was a lovely evening drink. During summers, I usually go for a Tequila Sunrise, but today I’m in the mood for that softer, non-acidic feel.
EDIT: Just saw your description text, OP. Never heard of a Pas de Loupe before, but that sounds interesting. Is that Mezcal, Cynar, ancho, honey syrup and lemon juice?
Also, happy cake day!
I’m a woman myself too, but I see that @Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world has chimed in as well! So it looks like there’s hope, haha
