  • Looks like dude in the orange saw dude proposing and often times proposals come with a fancy expensive ring. Clearly an easy mark. As the orange guy walks up, you can see him pull mace out of his pocket which he then sprays in dudes face at a close range. However, instead of being incapacitated, proposal dude clearly has a strong paradoxical reaction to the mace and becomes the pure embodiment of rage in physical form. This proves to be problematic to the man in orange.

  • I’d probably go back to bed because I’m clearly still dreaming. If that doesn’t work then I’d probably just take my guns and archery stuff and barricade myself in my large windowless shop that only has one door, is sound proof, and made of steel and get some sleep in there.

If I wake up and the zombies are still real then at least I can probably drill some peep holes in the walls and fashion something that resembles a sword or a halberd or something. Maybe something like a riot shield? I do have a fairly decent airgun and that’s pretty quiet and allegedly strong enough to hunt deer with so I might be set without having to actually build weapons.

I have plenty of animal traps and water filters and I live quite close to a forest with running water going through it so I won’t be getting hungry or thirsty anytime soon.

  • Oh yeah that’s a pretty solid benefit right there. I swear the oddest things will block them from cutting. I didn’t even consider the smoke diffusing the beam.

Like the most powerful laser I’ve used won’t cut through a paper sticker or even the residue but it’ll cut through .75" steel like it’s nothing.

The optics is a big deal too. On the big ones everything is pretty reasonably sized and they’re still a pain to clean. I can’t imagine what it’s like with those tiny ones. Also, those larger lasers lenses are really commonly coated in thorium and a speck gets on there it’s going to superheat and vaporize a lot of the lense. Pretty damn dangerous to be around lol!

  • CNC laser operator here.

I don’t know about these lower power lasers so I may be wrong. With the lasers I’ve used (200-2000W), the air/oxygen is used to create a superheated jacket of gas around the laser which allows it to cut a nice smooth edge. It also has the added benefit of blowing away the slag/dross that’s created.

When we cut more temperature sensitive materials like aluminum and stainless we use nitrogen, which cools the material. This creates a pretty jagged deal with the dross that you gotta sand off but it prevents blowouts and really creates a nice edge if you get the pressure dialed in just right.

  • I think I actually have MegaMan X on mine. So what people do is they’ll make a .CIA file (basically the equivalent of a rom) with the emulator built in.

IDK if this is allowed here, please if it’s not let me know and I’ll edit it out… But let’s say you’ve installed your CFW on your 3DS. A step of that will be to install the file manager FBI.

You’ll want to open FBI and go to the bottom option (it’s install or download or something I don’t have mine with me right now). Choose remote install, and from QR code.

Now on your phone or PC or whatever you can go to hshop.erista.me for example, here’s their MegaMan X page and you’ll scan that QR code. Couple seconds to minutes later (about 30-45 for the 1+gb giant 3ds games), you’re playing your game!

Now I absolutely hate recommending reddit for really anything… but their r/3dsqrcodes is a great resource for rom hacks. Almost all the bigger Pokemon ROM hacks are on there, I’ve got Super Mario that’s been turned into The Call of Cthulhu…

  • Most SD cards come with an adapter I thought. You can just get a cheap one with an adapter if you really like your current one.

Trust me, my 3DS has CFW and I soldered in a USB-C port for charging (surprisingly easy. I wouldn’t do it as your first solder job but it really takes minimal skill). I freaking love the thing. With a 64gb sd card you can fill it up with enough games you’ll never play them all. There’s a file management app (FBI) that will let you download and install games from QR codes too. It’s sooo kickass.
