I love how brutal the old ogryns looked.

I think the best way to pick your first army is to try and find one who’s troop choices you’ll enjoy painting the most. If the troops are really interesting to you and you’ll enjoy painting them, that means you’re more likely to finish painting them and be encouraged to play games. I guess this doesn’t apply if you want to play with unpainted minis though.
It also sets a bad precedent. For instance the indirect fire points hike. Since all weapon choices are the same points cost, some units get a points hike because they CAN select an indirect fire weapon even if they dont. Guard ordinance battery for example.
I’m in agreement on the points values. I don’t like the way they’ve done the current points and I am hoping it will be remedied as the codexes are released.
I agree with these points. Combi bolters as one profile? Not so great. I’m hoping for you the white scars get some love when the codex drops.
Sick. That white looks crisp.
This right here. I think the popularity of Battlebit proves this point. If devs make a game that they themselves would want to play, they create a great game. If the game is made via committee and how much profits the suits can squeeze out of it there is a good chance the game sucks.
Wow. I really liked the GW model and wanted one but if I know it may be impossible to get one I’ll have to look elsewhere. They are really pushing their customers into the 3D printing market.
How long has it been like this? I’m a 3rd-4th edition player getting back into it and it’s kind of alarming to see. I never remember having a hard time getting units or models. If it came down to it you could special order whatever you needed, including individual bits.
Hah, that’s exactly what I used. A cheap cosmetic brush from Target. I’ve got a handful of them, I think all the ELF brand?
Oh yeah. That sounds like a good way to do it. I was considering getting an airbrush but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
I may start trying this technique on some of my marines. This is just stippling with a drybrush progressively lighter. I’m not sure how it would work on smaller details but like you say, for armor, it works great. Plus it really gives it that grim dark look.
I didn’t even consider that. Hope it is cool.
This is an fdm printer. So not great quality for minis. For that you want resin. Much smoother.
But cost wise this was probably $0.10.
Oh man, this is an old download from the megaupload from printhammer I think. I’ve probably had this for a few years. No link I can share.
No word on if there will be different factions yet? Or has it been confirmed it is just like HH, only various flavors of the imperium.
Can’t upvote enough. My Leatherman gets used probably more than any tool I own. Anytime I’m fixing something whether it be the house, car, lawn equipment, the Leathermans always useful.
