The gameplay of Tactics Ogre isn’t similar to Ogre Battle even though they’re in the same franchise. The former is like Final Fantasy Tactics and Triangle Strategy while the latter is like Unicorn Overlord.

The gameplay is the same as Ogre Battle, a franchise that has been dead for decades until now. I played Unicorn Overlord’s demo and didn’t really get it. It’s a really technical autobattler with really tropey characters. I was bored when I wasn’t confused

Oh I thought they were all the same length. I’ve only played the first like a dragon so far, off of ps+. If it’s any consolation, these games will probably get their price reduced to like twenty bucks once they’re old news

low production value means essays can be produced regularly
one person can make them alone
they can be about popular topics without worrying about copyright (ideally)
other platforms are unlikely to steal these videos because they’re long, niche, and focused on a personality
Having said all that, I wouldn’t point to video essays as a failure of capitalism. Try writing an essay yourself sometime, one that’s worth reading. It’s difficult work.
