I think vast majority of my friends wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between “browser”, “search engine” and just “Google”. Yes, it seems weird but TBH does it really matter? They can use internet just fine.

Haha, nope, not this one too.
TBH I think I just became less self conscious and more confident about my body when I started exercising.
Not even close!
Man, would taking a few seconds to verify stuff kill you? All Proton applications are open source.
I have no idea why but for many years I felt this way too. Then it just went away and I have no idea why I would be embarrassed about my legs. Shorts are great!
I recently migrated to their hosted plan and can highly recommend. It’s as close as you can get to Google Photos with E2EE right now.
Well, sure. If it works for you then by all means keep using it.
I’m just recommending a service which I find very useful. I actually first heard about it on Lemmy and I’m grateful for the recommendation so I spread the word in hope of helping someone else.
It might protect you from a lot of Google’s shit show but it won’t show you good results too.
Kagi is the only usable search engine for me right now. Yes, it’s not free. I needed a whole year to convince myself to pay for searching but I finally did it and it is absolutely worth it. I’m a SE though, so searching stuff is like half my job.
Finally did it a few months back. I’m slowly degoogling too, although I’m afraid I won’t be ready to cut all ties for a bit more time.
It’s really sad that tech ended up like this. It all seemed so exciting not that long ago.
I’ll stick with KeePassXC but I’m still very happy to see them remembering about Linux. I hope Drive will be next, this is something I’m really waiting for.
In my experience it’s usually just peanuts. That’s the only kind I buy. You can find it with sugar and / or salt but that’s a minority.
It really is weird how US has to ruin every kind of food to make it more unhealthy. All this while not having a real healthcare too.
Lol, that’s kinda true actually
I have to mention dataclasses
here, especially with frozen=True
.
Seriously, use dataclasses whenever possible, they’re great.
EAFP - “Easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission”.
For those who are (like me) unfamiliar with this… acronym?
I simultaneously really like Lemmy and miss Reddit. I spend less time on Lemmy than I used to spend on Reddit, which is good. However, I’d like Lemmy to have a bit more users and activity. Well, maybe we’ll get there eventually. In the meantime I’m trying to be the change I want to see and I’m much more active here than I ever was on Reddit.
I would guess it’s more like 1000 tops. Sorry, I just like to be precise and the number seemed off. Doesn’t really matter to the story. I’m sure you’re able to burn a lot calories during army training.
I don’t think an 8 mile run burns 3000 kcal.
I can only use it as a laptop 1% of the time and it still makes perfect sense because otherwise I would have to own a separate device for this 1% of the time.
Hey, that’s really nice! I always wondered what’s the actual real life use case of the external monitor desktop mode on the phone. Your workflow is a perfect example of that.
True. This is one of the reasons why I only help people with their computers using remote desktop now. I’m so done with doing this verbally over the phone.
