It’s a weird obsession for sure. I kind of feel like they’re emasculating themselves with their own stringent beliefs about masculinity. If they’re not following the sigma grindset stuff to a T they feel like they’re failing as men. That makes them lash out at anyone who doesn’t care about gender roles the same way they do.

That’s the classic tactic. Find the absolute worst fringe takes and amplify them to paint an entire group with the same brush. It works pretty well since people are happy to believe the worst about their opposition.

My guess is that those communities tend to attract the types of people who are more likely to commit a mass shooting, not so much that participating in abstinence from masturbation turns people into mass shooters. I’m sure it’s a very unhealthy group to socialize with though.

I think there’s a level at which masturbating and looking at porn becomes unhealthy, but there has to be a better way to address that.
