For what it’s worth, a younger Trump supported the Democrats and most of their causes. But then he got all pissed off when Obama made fun of him at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner and his brain turned to even more mush than it was already and boiled with rage, so he decided to abandon every policy the Democrats had, not that he believed in any of it anyway, and join the far right.
That’s just it, he didn’t believe in any causes, he just supported ones that helped him. The only thing that changed his his ability to comprehend things, but he’s the same terrible person.
Slightly off-topic, but my favorite WH correspondent’s dinner video was the one Bill Clinton did as a farewell at the end of his second term. With the older Pete from Pete and Pete!
