Im going around all the subs i use and a few big ones like askreddit asking for people to try lemmy and for subs to migrate, just to make lemmy get a bit of a boost so hopefully lemmy can get moat people over and lemmy can be a full replacement for reddit
Reddit admins have been editing and removing comments that mention Lemmy and other competitor platforms.
Which, by the way, if you (the person reading this comment right now, not just OP) live in Europe and this happens to you or you see it, please report this to the proper authorities. It is illegal anti-competitive action to censor discussion about competitor services in EU and Reddit can get in big legal trouble for doing this.
Hey, who would i report this too, i live in eu and last I checked there where 4 or 5 and pretty sure there where more then that
you’ll probably get banned from reddit before long lol, best of luck!
I appreciate folks like you. This is how I found out about alternatives was from redditors commenting about Lemmy, the fediverse, and others.
I have created an account and am now looking for an instance that feels right.
