Its genuinely a heartbreaking tragedy what happened to the indigenous people of Australia/Uthuru. It seems so much of their culture has been completely annihilated in an industrial way, its akin to indigenous Americans but from an outsider’s perspective it seems what the brits did has been much more thorough as a result of how recent and sudden it was.

The people that tresspass on their lands and graffiti on their monuments and religious heritage should be executed straight up, its disgusting how these colonizers try to take the small things they still have left and see it as a joke.

Their cultures were so isolated and rich for so long, we have lost something truly important to human history, everyone is scrambling to document what is still left and so much is unknown. I was reading about the linguistic history of Australia/Uthuru lately and there’s so many blanks that we don’t know about due to linguistic erasure and the actual physical silencing and killing of people that maintained their oral histories.
