Joni Mitchell has made her voice heard in the upcoming US election, responding: “Fuck Donald Trump!” to an audience member who yelled an insult about the Republican presidential candidate.
“I love that song,” Mitchell continued – presumably a reference to the 2016 YG song FDT.
Performing her first headline concert in Los Angeles in 24 years on Saturday, Mitchell, 80, said: “Everybody get out and vote. This is an important one. I wish I could vote – I’m Canadian. I’m one of those lousy immigrants.”

As a Canadian, I’m happy that Joni is there to encourage everyone … and as someone with many French Canadian family and friends … to my American republican neighbours ->

Joni once let drop that all Janis Joplin and Grace Slick did was sleep with the band, get drunk and fall down.
To which Grace responded…“I don’t remember falling down that much”
Oh, shit, Joni Mitchell is still alive?
She had a stroke in 2015, but, through the encouragement and support of her friends in the music community, she recovered enough to do occasional live performances again by 2022. The recording of that live set won a Grammy.
