I am trying to recover an old Facebook account that I lost access to a few months ago when I bought a new phone and did not migrate my 2FA key for Facebook, I do not wish to have all my data in Facebook’s servers indefinitely so I want to login and delete the account.

However, the problem is that when prompted to upload a government ID to verify my identity, the only way they’re offering to upload an ID is to take a photo through their app or website, however the photo always comes out blurry no matter what compared to the stock camera apps on both of my devices, A Galaxy S23 and a Galaxy Tab S7, thus, my ID photos are always rejected.

Where do I go from here? Perhaps it’s an issue of the Android client or website? Should I borrow someone’s iPhone and try to do the same?

Arguably doing this is worse then letting that account sit, but I’d prolly create a fake fb account and just report your account for terrorism or fraud or something along the lines of that

This is probably a bad idea though. At least reporting for terrorism. I’m betting they keep all information relating to that account even longer in case of subpoena.
