I disagree that there’s no spectrum of right-wingedness to measure getting perceptably worse.
Outright nazi takes that would have to be masked up and covered in “thought experiment” qualifiers only a few years ago are now mainline conversation in both major political parties now.

I guess I can see it from that perspective, but at the end of the day it’s all right wing.
Right wing can range from “asshole harassing neighbors with HOA enforcement” to nights with long knives and beyond.
