Yeah, it’s been a decade, which feels long, but for me it’s actually good. I was a young, impressionable guy with leftist ideals, but definitely very much lacking awareness of anti-racism and feminism ideology (I still need to improve in that regard). I remember all of the hate towards Sarkeesian, the “Hugh Mungus” thing, and this fad on YT with hating on “crazy removed”. Thankfully I got out of the pipeline quite fast and managed to see beyond the superficial reactionary criticism. In 10 years I’ve gotten a long way towards feminism, anti-racism and Marxism, and I’m hopeful for my further way in the following 10 years!
Edit: apologies for the removed word, it was a slur used against feminists back in the day. Thanks mods for making hexbear a safer space, I’ll be more careful with such slurs even when directly quoting
