I’ve noticed something about some of the people the IDF kills indirectly:

  1. (pre-October 7th) There was a kid a while back on whom an IDF jeep flipped and crushed; the kid was still alive but the IDF refused to allow the ambulance to save his life.

  2. (pre-October 7th) There was a girl they shot and let bleed to death, again, refusing to allow the paramedics to save her life.

  3. There was a disabled child who was attacked by their dog that tore the kid’s hand (chest?) badly; they left the disabled kid in a room and took his mother and brother away, only allowing them to come back about a week or ten days later. The disabled kid wasn’t able to care for himself and died in that room.

  4. They forced the staff at a hospital to leave, and there were babies in incubators they couldn’t do anything about. The staff were only allowed to return two weeks later, I’m not saying anything else about this because it’s horrific.

  5. The case of Hind (I think that was her name); they fired on her car with a tank, and then left her there to die, shooting the ambulance that showed up and killing the paramedics inside. On this one I don’t know if they knew a child was in the car, but I absolutely don’t put it past them.

  6. (pre-October 7th) Just lots of cases of them not allowing paramedics to care for the people they’ve just shot, but none I remember as specifically as the first two points.

Well they also make heavy use of torture on captives, so I don’t think it’s necessarily about the death itself. It’s partially a terror tactic, but I also wonder if it’s specifically meant to break and condition the soldiers themselves. Eventually they stop viewing their enemies as human and are capable of anything.
