Oh what a ride.

We only made it past bridge. Let alone the lantern phase took forever. Maybe because we were messing around with swords getting up some serious speed.

Bridge was a thing to figure out. I don’t know if there was that buff back then. I only mastered the raid 8 times on OG Destiny.

So we’re still out clearing on normal with the final encounter, which is doable. Gonna dig ourselves in tonight.

Though the chest after the bridge phase wasn’t in the room. Did we miss something?

What are your thoughts? Did you make it within contest-mode or no?

I wouldn’t have been able to play day one because of family plans but after watching a few of the teams on twitch who were struggling, I knew I didn’t want to try at all. I’m not much of a raider anyway, but this one definitely doesn’t seem like it’s for me.

Contest-Mode was hard. Champions had like a huuuuuge healthbar.

On regular it’s quite okay and achievable. It’s just missing the routines.

Maybe you should give it a try :)

We got through the first three encounters easily - Abyss in three attempts, Bridge in an hour or two, Ir Yût in two hours or so. Then we tried Crota for twelve hours until 8am until it wasn’t worth it anymore and we went to sleep.

The worst part? Here’s a screenshot from our very first final stand:

That expunge was so important on contest mode, but we just could never keep people alive to utilize it. If we had it, we probably would’ve beat him on that first final stand.
