A struggle session, a power poster, a 2020 Democrat debate, or anything that tickled your fancy… remind us all about it in this thread!

My favourite memory by far has got to be the ~week or so we spent speculating about the Silver Legion.

Hi, I’m one of the blahaj refugees pushed here by their transphobia. My account was two days old and I asked someone not to repeat transphobic propaganda, and I got banned by the admin. It was in a thread about how Hexbear was too woke and defederated Blahaj just for using slurs, and a bunch of bears told me to come here if I wanted to be accepted, so I did.

There was a whole heap of transphobia and ableism directed my way when I joined, but the difference between y’all and Blahaj is an open mind. Instead of getting banned for being a minority and wanting rights, I changed minds.

Very sorry you had to put up with such abuse, and I’m glad you found your way here.

This is referring to Blahaj, right?

Instead of getting banned for being a minority and wanting rights, I changed minds.

We have your back here fidel-salute

I hope you’ve been enjoying your stay heart-sickle

No, bears thought my gender was too silly and that it must be a conservative joke, and they said my mental disorder isn’t a disability and is okay to use as a pejorative on neurotypicals. This came from both users and mods. But I convinced the users to have a big long think about my mental disorder, and the mods believe in my gender now.

I’m used to being treated this way. To me, a safe space is somewhere I can fight for my rights and have some impact over time without being called political or argumentative. I was called a wrecker at first, but it’s gone down since then.
