With a regular monitor, good ergonomic rules suggest you keep your monitor at least at arm’s length. With VR (or XR/AR, whatever) it’s not recommended that you use it for extended periods of time. It’s bad for your eye muscles/focus.

How your eye muscles focus on something so close.
With a regular monitor, good ergonomic rules suggest you keep your monitor at least at arm’s length.
