    They didn’t say anything about voting in presidential elections. They said start a campaign and advocate for the change they want see.

                  Let’s say I join the green party and start a campaign and try to get people to vote for me. Surely you wouldn’t all discourage anyone from voting for a 3rd party candidate right? Wait, never mind, I don’t need to run because there are people who did join the green party and election reform is part of their platform. Surely it’s fine to vote for them right? Oh and they’re running a candidate for president this year. The thing you’re telling us to do already exists.

                  Except, you knew that’s where I was going with it so you added the local elections restriction out of nowhere.

                  And here’s the part where you go “no no not like that you can’t vote 3rd party you’ll throw your vote away”.
