A standoff between Elon Musk and Brazil escalated on Sunday when a Supreme Court judge opened an inquiry into the billionaire after Musk said he would reactivate accounts on the social media platform X that the judge had ordered blocked.

Musk, the owner of X and a self-declared free speech absolutist, has challenged a decision by Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordering the blocking of certain accounts. He has said X, formerly known as Twitter, would lift all the restrictions because they were unconstitutional and called on Moraes to resign.

Neither Musk, X nor Brazilian authorities have disclosed which social media accounts were ordered blocked. X first posted about the order to block on Saturday but it was not immediately clear when the order was issued.

Moraes is investigating “digital militias” that have been accused of spreading fake news and hate messages during the government of former far-right President Jair Bolsonaro and is also leading an investigation into an alleged coup attempt by Bolsonaro.

To whomever is reading this conspiracionist crap, this person above is describing as mere “vandals” people who refused to accept the results of the elections, spent months camping in front of army QGs and later breaking into the congress, supreme court and destroying every fuckin thing they could find demanding a violent coup d’etat in support of a caricatural corrupt fascist piece of shit.

I’d like to remind you that the only instance a person can be sentenced to death in Brazil is for treason. So for getting 17 years (and we know very well that they won’t stay there that long if they behave) I’d say that they got it lightly.

Also, by saying “censoring people who say things he doesn’t like” you all can understand as committing crimes.

Look up what an actual violent coup is before you talk. Chile is a very good example of what it really is. And belive me, its not old ladies and people shitting in tables.

Also, i dont know if you consider yourself a leftist, but you are not. No humanity at all. To say 17 years in the brasilian prisons is light you have no soul at all.

And no, talking is not a crime

Oh, really?! So I can freely say racist homophobic shit to peoples faces and make death threats, spread falsehoods about your mom’s sex life and demand a coup d’etat saying that the elections were defrauded without having any fucking evidence of that freely?! What a concept!

But no, these are all crimes according to Brazilian law. If you don’t agree with that, become a politician or start a movement and demand change.

And don’t you fucking dare to question my level of “leftiness” or my humanity towards people who wants me dead.

You can keep pretending that these were just old innocent old people while ignoring the fact that Bolsonaro himself was recorded among generals planing a coup, having documents to justify the coup in their possessions, that higher ups of the armed forces were onboard. The same Bolsonaro who said that he wanted to gun down and torture his political opponents.
