Today is Montblanc Heritage 1912 <B CI> with Aurora Black, taking notes at work. What about you?
Montblanc Mark Twain with Kon Peki
Safari AL-Star, M nib, Diamine ox blood.
I’m thinking of putting Diamine Writer’s Blood in my TWSBI Eco 1.1 stub. It feels suitably dramatic.
A red Majohn A1 with a Pilot VP stub nib in place of the standard EF nib, Lamy Peridot ink.
Nice! I just picked up my first Sailor pen (Profit Black Luster) and the trim is very pretty. Enjoying the 21k nib quite a bit.
I recall you buying it and I’m glad you like it so far. Did you get a converter in the end?
By the way, we discussed being selective about the ink used to try to protect the ion plating. Also avoid flossing the tines if you can or working on the nib with micromesh or fine grit paper as there are theories that it can weaken the plating along the edges and risk flaking outward from those points.
I’ll be using a burgundy Pilot e95s with Diplomat Burgundy ink for work notes.
Sailor Pro Gear Slim Shikiori Haruzora (MF) with Sailor Jentle Black.
Kaweco Brass Sport + Rohrer & Klingner Salix
Lamy AL-Star EF-nib with Diamine Eau de Nil
An all blacked out Nakaya D-17 long cigar variant (kuru-roiro, ruthenium) with Take-sumi. No clip, no embellishments. The most lowkey pen setup I have and my idea of the perfect daily writer.
Primary is a Preppy with Diamine Tropical Glow - I had forgotten how much I like that one. On the road with today, also:
- Sailor PGS (Peach Haze)
- Safari (Pink Sugar Beach)
- Another Preppy, sporting Ancient Charm’s Mooring on the Quinuai River, which may be the shimmeriest purpole shimmer I own…
- Another Safari, loaded with Vinta Julia
I’ve got a ton loaded that I alternate through. I’m finding I actually like inks I thought I hated, when I put them in different pens. Just means I have to try all possible combos eventually!
