    In fact, i think debating a fascist is losing because you waste energy on a conversation that is going nowhere, which is the end goal.

      That’s why making fun of fash is an art form, and it can always be refined.

      (Although I will say that if you’re on a public forum like Reddit, providing sources for your dunks can potentially help out curious lurkers. It’s not good to waste time debating outright fash, of course, but it’s a consideration when talking to reactionaries)

        yeah “debates” and arguments, especially online, are for the audience not the person you’re talking to. Bill Nye was never going to convince Ken Ham of anything but he did give a fuckload of people some remedial biology education.
