Welp it’s July 1st, and I actually had to move from lemmy.world over to lem.ee because that instance is being verryyy overloaded right now, lol.
I’m very new to Lemmy too and I already adore it. I’m really hoping to see lots of the Linux related subs become more prominent over here.
I know it’s unlikely but ask historians, the moderation required is unreal. More realistic would be bestofredditorupdates for all the mindless drama reading.
There was some decent discussion about it, the mods seem to feel the reach is just way too small. Personally I’d love to see a curated ask lemmy instance (ask historians, ask anthropology, etc). I tried to pitch this to one of the main subreddit mods (I forget his name and can’t login to reddit via rif anymore to see, but it is something like Gregor K Rasmun (not that but starts with a G I think and had a middle initial) and we had a bit of a back and forth but seems like no dice, mostly due to reach. They do have a website and podcast at least.
