Well I can just leave another comment then I don’t see why I’d bother you with that but sure
I already told them to disengage a while ago, after an extremely pedantic debate over whether they should get mad at someone else for not being online enough to be present for the litigation over whether the emote should be more like 🔥🇮🇱🔥, and they’ve repeatedly cheekily messaged me over that with essays about how they are the best at forum arguing and are so smart. Thank you both for your input
For more context, he asked me to disengage from the direct messages he sent me, using the same method of dropping “disengaged” in the middle of messages in order to get the last word in.
I don’t understand why he doesn’t just block me if he doesn’t want to see me.
Also their explanation leaves out they did actually violate the rule and were banned for some time as a result, meaning they knew extremely well not to talk to me. They just wanted this kind of response because they adore attention online. We all do, don’t get me wrong. But I’d just rather talk about some real shit for the rest of our time here. 😚
As always, it is very interesting seeing when someone becomes “a chud” here and when it is epic and cool to treat people certain ways.
I like how a fourth random person has already showed up to clarify there is no clarity about the disengage policy. Which is extremely funny and I will use as long as it exists.
In this case I’m doing @ProfessorOwl_PhD@hexbear.net a favor, because we could argue about forum rules down to the fucking molecule, they seem willing to go indefinitely. 🥵🥵
Because I don’t want you to leave replies on stuff that I’m saying, it’s that simple. I have seen the way you insert yourself into a discussion about the burning of 🇮🇱 digitally, and I think you should stick to talking to special ed students at your job, not arguing online.
Very funny if I managed to get the rule changed so that tedious bastards are allowed a last word, I welcome it.
“If you reply to me again I will ask you to disengage.” is fine with me. There is zero clarity about this shit.
But that is to be expected on a website which has such a relatively high proportion of fandom wiki and ex magic the gathering players and ex nu atheists (no shade thrown).
It does bother me seeing the way you are willing to reinterpret things off of a turn of phrase when you understand the underlying message, without putting much effort into conveying you understand. If I were a more sensitive type of autistic person, you all certainly would bother me. What bothers me is the increasing amount of energy you make required to be understood by me as soon as there is a disagreement. I’ve talked with Pluto before about how there used to be practically no awareness of autism in the neurodivergent space here.
No, that’s what the block button is for. Disengage means “disengage from this subject”, not “don’t comment on my posts”.
My comment was on the post, not about or directed at you. I didn’t check to see who posted it first, I only found out it was you when you came to make sure you got the last word in. If you don’t want to see my comments on your posts, just block me, and you’ll need never worry about me again.
And can I remind you of our conversation about hypocrisy, and how you asked me to disengage but are re-engaging despite me replying to someone else.
Hey, at least they’ve finally stopped pretending they have an ancestral connection to the land.

so just an FYI, a disengage request is required to only consist of the word disengage. Not an image, no attempt to get the last word in, ect.
Edit it to only be the word disengage and ping me if you want the comment restored.

thanks for the context, I didn’t notice that at first. Sorry for not being more thorough.

I don’t have a problem with seeing you around, you don’t bother me. The disengage is so you don’t speak to me.

How the fuck you were supposed to know that I have no idea. How about I don’t accumulate LORE 😳
What is a disengage request?
Type the word disengage and hit enter. The person has to respect your desire to be left alone.
Usually used to end an argument that isn’t going anywhere
