I much prefer the clarity of bike infrastructure on the CyclOSM layer over Cycle Map.
But recently, it seems to either be blank (literally no map shows up) or it comes up as a basic map with no cycling infrastructure highlighted (i.e. if you are using brouter).
Even the official website isn’t right.
Does anyone know what’s happening?
@Showroom7561
there is an open issue on one of the CyclOSM GitHub trackers here:
https://github.com/osm-fr/infrastructure/issues/490That’s great! Thank you. I’m glad someone who can fix it is aware of the problem.
For me this problem has been going on for some months now. It’s the best bicycle layer I know.
It hasn’t been months for me, maybe the last week. Since I use brouter a lot (like many times a week), this was a very noticeable problem. I hope it gets fixed, though. I really don’t like any of the other layers for cycle planning.
I noticed the same over the past two days. Using the cyclosm live layer on their website seems to work, just slowly.
I was just about to post the same question! It was my favourite way to plan my routes.
As a side question: does anyone know how to get a similar style in OSMAnd? The built-in views are not great for cycling. I know I can do a “layer” over top, but I don’t have data so it’s not a solution when I’m on the go. Plus, lately it seems to just be displaying the default OSM Carto style. :/

I like to use “Offline vector maps” with the map style “CycloRoute” (download here).
Cycle routes and bike lanes are highlighted in BOLD BLUE, and it’s so easy to see. There’s also a touring style, which can also be helpful.
This is a great add on, thanks for that. This alongside the BRouter routing engine is awesome.
Can you add BRouter into OSMand?
@Pleat1752 Brouter as a OsmAnd backend is officially supported.
Blank for me too
