It’s been flaky with my Pixel 6 from day 1. Sometimes it won’t connect at all. Other times it will drop connection in the middle of a drive. The latest annoyance is that about half the time when I plug it in the phone goes to USB Tethering instead AA and I have to change it.

Me too, Bought a pixel 6 in hopes for a more pleasant experience with android overall, but my connection to my Ford sync4 with AA has been miserable. Ford says(of course) it’s not The radio. Using AA wireless and wired. So often I have complete lockups, where I shut off the truck when I get to a light so it can reboot. Occasionally it hangs if I exit AA to go to the Ford menu too.

I’ve always had flaky connections but discovered it’s the cable. Usually when connection gets flaky I replace the cable and it works well going forward.

I did have some connection issues maybe ~7-10 days ago (would fall under the article’s time frame). I’d have to unplug/replug my phone to get it to work. I didn’t think much since I’ve had the problem in the past that ended up being a bad cable. Haven’t had to do that in about 3-4 days now though so can’t really conclude anything.

On a related note though, Android Auto and Mazda’s rotary dial don’t always work the best. Waze is hit or miss with the controls which is a damn shame. AA itself is a bit cumbersome to navigate. Just one of those I have to get used to I guess.

I have had connection issues forever, but I think I can blame my car for that, as my wife’s iPhone has the same issue.

Yeah, in cases like that, I think there could be an environment factor causing interference. There’s a spot in town that no matter when, what car, or what phone, it kills the wireless car play or android auto connection.

Probably not specific to Pixel, but on several occasions I noticed when I set a destination in my P6, then connect that to my Android Auto - I have to do that again

Oddly enough in this wave of people having issues mine has actually been working better than ever. Pixel 7 Pro / Honda Civic / AA Wireless. It’s been a month since I had a connection drop.
