    I’m skeptical of this especially given the source. It sounds in the same vein as when they claimed China was subjecting them to endless paperwork for trade of dual-use technology. Then when you read into it more, Chinese officials just started looking more closely at paperwork being filed which makes sense, why would they want to be complicit in the genocide willingly.

    I think this is just an extension of the consent manufacturing about China big bad that needs to be defeated. Pretty expected for a US puppet state.

      I wouldn’t call that a lie. It’s good to point out that it was just enforcement of existing rules, but it’s still an act of purpose, and a based one at that.

        I more so meant the reporting of it pushed the narrative that they were being subjected to a large burden of paperwork that hasn’t been present in the past.

        My bad on not being super clear on that point.
