Man, it’s such a great story. The book is next level, and the whoopi movie is one of the best movies ever made, and that’s with the deviations. The cast was just so damn perfect that when I heard about the new movie (before I heard it was a musical) I thought it would be impossible to match the quality of casting. Obviously, it being a musical changes that.
