I don’t know if it’s a bug or if the feature hasn’t been implemented because the “Show Fediverse Address” option doesn’t seem to do anything.
It would be good to see the communities’ instances like this: politics@lemmy.ml. I’ve joined several communities with the same name on different instances (e.g. politics@lemmy.ml, politics@lemmy.world) and it will be good to know which one I’m looking at.
As for users, perhaps have an option to display the instance of the user.
Being able to see what a user subscribes to is no bueno. It’s not that kind of social media site.
No, like to which instance he belongs to. Like mereo@lemmy.world, mereo@lemmy.ca, etc.
That should already be on the user profile under their name. Show fediverse address is for the communities screen to show the address of that community should you have multiple.
I can add a setting to show the full username instead of display name in.
Ah ok. But it will also be good to show the Fediverse address here:
In this case, I don’t know if I’m in politics@lemmy.world or politics@lemmy.ml.
Another example is Memmy where it displays the Fediverse address (instance adresse). In this case, I know I’m viewing the Technology community located in Lemmy.world (and not the one in Lemmy.ml). If Bean could display this, it would be awesome!
There’s an option to show the fediverse address but currently it only shows on the Communities tab. I’ll pull it out in more places.
