Look, the man also directed First Contact (the movie, not the episode) and Those Old Scientists, which are generally well received. I think we can begrudge him one ghost-fuckin’ episode.
If you gave me the option of watching “First Contact” or “Sub Rosa”, I would choose planet Scotland ten times out of ten.
Personally I think “Sub Rosa” is a banger with a story that would not be at all out of place in TOS.
… or more than one.
I forgot he even directed that one. I was more thinking of Frame of Mind.
“Frame of Mind” was directed by James Conway.
