    Am I being unreasonable if I think these outlets should make it crystal clear in the title whether it was an assassination or not?

      Yes. It should be completely unambiguous, something like “Russia suspected in tragic birthday death of Ukrainian official.”

      That way, no one gets confused and their audience won’t get the wrong idea and start thinking for themselves or reading beyond the headline.
