This content is paywalled and I’m not linking the archive link to the site; Haaretz is one of the few news organizations (if not the only one) willing to talk about what’s being done in a critical manner. Any support you can provide, you should.

I didn’t know much about Haaretz but some posters have explained that they’re just zionists as well, just liberal ones; it’s already stickied as the top comment, but here’s the archive link in case you don’t browse comments: https://archive.is/ilyEU

One of the things I WILL mention however is that the article talks about the aid centers and their murky sources. Apparently they’re run by an evangelical who is close to Trump and the Israeli government, which is not boding well at all (and would explain the constant stories recently of people seeking aid who are being shot in high numbers). These aid centers are basically being run by people who most likely don’t see the Palestinians as human beings either.

If the Nazis had just not had their Western campaign at tje same time as they went East, Western Europe and the US would have ignored them even if they beat the USSR and created slsve societies out of every nation to their east.

I mention this because whiteness is flexible, it changes based on sociopolitical need by the dominant class. Germans could have gone after Jewish people and Slavs and the non-USSR “Allies” would have supported them. Jewish Europeans are white today and so are most Slavs, socially, though liberals would really like to push back on both of thoss things.

Pretty much. The only reason any “leaders” outside the USSR got involved is because it was hurting their own personal interests and their bottom line. If those atrocities were happening to anyone else (or even just anywhere else), world “leaders” would either have supported them or not gotten involved at all.

Sure, the people on the ground did genuinely just want to put a stop to it, but their commanders and leaders didn’t really care about mass genocide - they just cared that it was the “wrong” people being killed.

Britain and France declared war 2 days after Poland was invaded.

AKA the Phoney War period where it was nearly all just on paper or defense of British or French assets.

It was not until France was invaded that they really did anything.
